Walk Through Your Plan for Guest Check-In - I can't stress enough how important it is to walk through your check-in process. Go through it as thought you were a guest, anticipate any hiccups, look for any bottlenecks that could possibly occur. Familiarize yourself with any and all exits, for both security purposes, keeping unwanted guests out and safety purposes, making sure in the case of an emergency all guests can leave.2. Keep Someone Familiar with the Guest List On Hand - I have yet to witness an event where someone coming in claims their name is one the list, but of course it cannot be found. Not only is this situation embarrassing and awkward for all those involved, but heaven forbid if you potentially turn away someone important. This is why I recommend there always be someone on hand who is intimately connected to the guest list, someone who knows who is on it and who is not. It's terrible when the whole check-in process has to be stopped so someone with more knowledge of the guest list can fix everything, so sidestep that issue by having that person there from the start!3. Keep Your Guest List Secure - Whether you're using a paper guest list or a guest list app like zkipster, it's always important to keep prying eyes away. It's in human nature for people to want to look over your shoulder when you're searching for their name, but doing this could allow whoever is in front of you to fake a name, or point to a name on your list and say "that's me."
