Check In App zkipster Launches Advisory Board at Art Basel Miami

Networks define access. This is why zkipster decided to team up with a group of entertainment, not for profit and management leaders to launch the company’s board of advisors during Art Basel Miami 2014.

“With Art Basel Miami being one of the businest time on our platform, we knew that this was right place for us to launch”, said Daniel Dessauges, co-founder of zkipster. “The board is a mix of influencers of the entertainment, non-profit, corporate and political world.”

“We have always believed that the best way to grow our company is to provide the most-reliable, fastest guest-list app on the market. Now we have an advisory board to provide us with the kind of vision to bring our industry leading guest list management tool to the next level. I am excited to work with these leaders and to add their wisdom, insight, and creativity to our passionate team,” said David Becker, co-founder of zkipster.

“Given the ubiquity of the web and the inherent access to solve every need, why is it that party guest lists still live alphabetically, on paper?”

Laura Brown, Executive Editor at Harper’s Bazaar said, “I’m proud to be working with the leaders of zkipster for a basic reason: the red carpet is supposed to be glamorous, not about waiting in line. Simply put, their product works – it gets you into the party, and fast. What’s not to like?””

Starting December 1, 2015, the following names will be respresented on zkipster’s board of advisors:

  • Laura Brown, Executive Editor, Harper’s Bazaar
  • Julian Jaeger, Director of Partnerships, Clinton Global Initiative
  • Jeremy Jurgens, Chief Information and Interaction Officer, World Economic Forum
  • Roxanne Motamedi, Vice President Global Entertainment, Getty Images

Sandy Climan, President of Entertainment Media Ventures, said, “Surrounding myself with smart, world-class innovators has been a key to my personal success. That’s why I am excited about joining the zkipster team. They have already developed an incredibly-simple, yet elegant product. Now we need to identify new markets and introduce their product to new audiences, from health care entrepreneurs to the entire creative class of artists and technology leaders.”

Karen Appleton, SVP Industry Alliances at Box, said, “We live our lives online – from constant twitter feeds to buying groceries and other staples. Given the ubiquity of the web and the inherent access to solve every need, why is it that party guest lists still live alphabetically, on paper? The Internet helped us eliminate the phonebook – and now zkipster is helping us eliminate the paper guest list.”

Simon Mulcahy, Senior Vice President and General Manager Financial Services at Salesforce said, “zkipster solves an important need with inventive simplicity. Leveraging the best of cloud and mobile technology, zkipster does not just make the concept of managing events with spreadsheets ridiculous; it changes the game. It’s Uber for events. This is an exciting time to celebrate the momentum and growth of this amazing company.”

Roxanne Motamedi, Vice President of Global Entertainment at Getty Images, said, “At Getty, we believe interaction and engagement creates the most powerful images. So do the leaders at zkipster. Together with cutting-edge photographers and world-renowned celebrities, they help us create the clean, professional environments where personal, intriguing moments can shine. This is an exciting opportunity.”

Denielle Sachs, Director of Social Impact at McKinsey & Company, said, “In a digital world where our interactions are increasingly remote, it is still important we create meaningful, in-person connections. zkipster uses technology to enable exactly that – seamless, face-to-face events, where innovators and ideators come together to learn, share and collaborate. I’m excited to support this leading-edge platform, and to help identify ways for it to continue supporting the good work of social entrepreneurs.”

Meredith Kendall, Principal at Pramana Collective, said, “The entrepreneurial leaders at zkipster are doing some of the most creative work in the industry. Together with this incredible group of leaders, we have brought together all of the components of a successful company with a bright future. It’s a unique opportunity, and I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of the advisory team.”

Ish Obregon, Founder of Oiishi Creative, said, “The leaders of zkipster and I share a core belief – a passion for what the future holds. That future is built around strong teams, clear goals and then passionately working to reach them. I am looking forward to working together with David and Daniel to drive innovation and use technology to help us share more time with the people we care about.”

Hans-Juerg Rufener, Founder of Rufener Events, said, “I have seen zkipster in use around the globe – from luxury events and galas to intimate gatherings. The scalability of their product is incredible. It’s simple. It’s easy. And best of all, it works. Together with this bright group of leaders, we are going to up-end the entire event management world.”

The new advisory board comes on the heels of two new features built on top of zkipster’s core event check-in app – zPrint and zSocial – that enables on-site name badge printing and social media event tracking for individual events.
