Vogue Loves Hong Kong in November 2024 saw the publication celebrate its 5th anniversary with a spectacular block party that attracted international fashionistas, designers, models, industry leaders and creatives from around the globe.
Some of the event’s most notable attendees included CL, Lucien Laviscount, Eileen Gu, Jourdan Dunn, Wi Ha Jun, Fan Bingbing, and Kōki, as well as legendary Hong Kong supermodels Qi Qi, Janet Ma, Gaile Lok, Kathy Chow, and Amanda Strang. Performances by the group Five Guys, featuring Hins Cheung, Terence Lam, Hung Ka Ho, Tyson Yoshi and Jeffrey Ngai, were a highlight of the night.

Not only is Vogue Loves Hong Kong one of the most high profile events in the Hong Kong Fashion Fest calendar, it’s also one of the most exciting. It took place along the waterfront in the West Kowloon Cultural District, turning the Art Park into a glam, colorful block party and cultural exchange packed with vibrant visuals, bold style, incredible food and entertainment, a red carpet and interactive experiences like the Glambot Photo Station and Vogue Glam Station.
EX-R International, the brand experience agency who managed the VLHK block party, relied on zkipster to help the event run seamlessly. They used zkipster technology to send email RSVPs, capture guest registrations and improve the event check-in process, delivering a guest experience as elevated as the event itself.

The Vogue Loves HK challenge
For VLHK, EX-R International used zkipster to:
- Provide efficient and secure entry and crowd-monitoring solutions
- Provide an intelligent guest management system
- Send electronic invitations
- Allow for on-site verification of guests after check-in
The overall goal?
To simplify guest management and elevate the individual guest experience.

The zkipster solution
Managing elite guest experiences
Precision and personalization improve the guest journey, starting from the moment guests receive their invitations. zkipster digital event management tools allowed the VLHK event organizers to better handle invitations, confirmations, registration and check-in.
Before the event, organizers used zkipster’s Communications feature to send electronic invitations, record guest RSVPs in real-time, and send QR codes to confirmed guests.
On the day of the event, guests scanned their personal QR codes at check-in, which sped up the check-in process and improved the overall guest experience. The zkipster app is built for efficient entry at high-profile events like Vogue Loves Hong Kong, ensuring a seamless check-in experience for guest lists with up to 10,000 names.

Simplifying guest management
Once guests scanned their QR codes at the VLHK block party, event staff used the zkipster app to verify guests’ identities in real time and access live, continuously updated attendance data. This shortened entry times, eliminated congestion at check-in points, and reduced queue lines.
zkipster real-time analytics allowed the team to keep track of how many attendees were on site at any given time, allowing them to manage event security and better control the flow of people in and out of the venue.

Conclusion: The value of technology in luxury events
Event technology does more than help event planners, organizers, and staff to improve their processes. It’s key to elevating the guest experience.
Without the need to keep track of paper invitations, guests don’t have to worry about losing their entry tickets. Plus, with QR codes for self check-in, guests don’t have to wait in long queues for ID verification.
In addition to using real-time analytics that allow organizers to monitor crowd size, zkipster technology also helps keep guests safe during the event; and safety is always a priority at luxury, upscale events like Vogue Loves Hong Kong.
