In Japan it’s not necessarily the gift that matters, but the presentation. A similar rule applies when it comes to event planning and event invitations!
One of the best ways to generate buzz about your event is by sending out a spectacular invitation. Invitations are the first thing your prospective guests will look at. They are a window into the heart and soul of your event. To help you get your creative juices flowing, we've come up with some great examples of invitations that really stand apart from the crowd.
House of Papier can definitely help your event have great presentation. House of Papier designs beautiful, intricate and creative invitations for all kinds of events; weddings, baby showers, you name it. Much of their inspiration comes straight off the runways in New York. Her latest collection is filled with beautiful creations made from silk, satin, lace, and tulle, that look like they could not only grant you event access, but also provide you with an outfit accessory!
Next up is an invitation sent out by GGRP, a sound and music production company, and developed at Grey Canada, Vancouver, by creative director/copywriter Geoff Dawson, art director/illustrator Andrew McKinley, and graphic designer Dennis Isaacson. The invite came in the shape of a cardboard album cover that doubled as a record player folded up into an envelope that includes a 45-vinyl. The record can be operated with a pencil. As the vibrations go through the needle, they are naturally amplified in the cardboard material. This campaign went viral and I don't think it's hard to understand why.
This next invitation was designed by Poom Sutasinee Seitz, for FAME's annual party. The themewas Cinco de Mayo. There arefour versions of the invite, each with their own distinctive flair. The first card's pieces punches out to form a stand-alone burro, the second punches out three different style mustaches the reciever can wear, the third folds into an origami sombrero, and the fourth directs the reciever of the invite to a website where they can listen to a hand selected party playlist. These invitations are wonderfully interactive, and the design is beautiful and eye catching.Hopefully these examples have given you some inspiration! What do you think? Have you ever seen a really great event invitation that made you stop and go "Wow!"?
